This large scale painting was developed from the Get Carter series of drawings. A range of paint media was used

in looking to achieve a similar surface as when using thickly applied oil pastel.

This formed a sythesis of two main areas of the artist's practice: that of reflecting upon work being made and experimental development. This method of working resulted in a learning model being designed specific to art Reflective and Experimental Development (Donnelly 2015), which is discussed on the website under Education Projects.
